Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor could be set to revisit their ‘Chammak Challo’ magic, with the actors reportedly coming together for a special dance number in the upcoming film ‘King’. The two stars last shared screen space in ‘Ra.One’, which featured the popular track that remains associated with their on-screen pairing.
According to a report by Variety, the song's shoot began in Mumbai on October 27. The dance number is reportedly being mounted on a grand scale, with international dancers also expected to join the sequence.
“The shooting started today, October 27. The track promises to bring back the magic of their iconic dance numbers like ‘Chammak Challo,' with international dancers also said to be coming on board," a source told the publication.
The makers have not revealed further details about the reported song. However, the collaboration brings back a familiar pairing as anticipation builds around Shah Rukh's action entertainer, directed by Siddharth Anand.
Shah Rukh Khan's new ‘King’ poster grabs attention
The reported song shoot comes shortly after the makers unveiled a new poster of Shah Rukh Khan from ‘King’. The actor appears in a rugged look, sporting tousled blonde hair, a bloodied chest and distressed clothing. Flames, sparks and wreckage form the backdrop.
Sharing the poster on Instagram, SRK wrote, "Aaj phir yaad aaya...Qaatil nahi… Aashiq hoon…#KING," seemingly referencing his popular song ‘Baadshah O Baadshah’ from the 1999 film ‘Baadshah’.
What is the cast and release date of ‘King’?
Apart from Shah Rukh and Kareena, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal and Abhay Verma.
‘King’ also marks another collaboration between Shah Rukh and director Siddharth Anand, who previously worked together on ‘Pathaan’.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24. Further details about Kareena's reported dance number, including its title and the film's sequence in which it will appear, are yet to be announced.
