The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the NEET-PG 2026 results for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate medical courses for the 2026-27 academic session.
The examination was held on August 30, with 2,63,544 candidates appearing for the test. A separate re-examination was later conducted on September 5 in Jaipur for 2,416 candidates who were affected by a technical issue at their original centres.
Candidates who appeared for NEET-PG 2026 can check their results and rank through the official NBEMS website, natboard.edu.in.

Why was a re-examination held?
The re-examination was arranged for candidates allotted to test centres with TC Codes 41682 and 41683 in Jaipur. According to NBEMS, an internal power failure at these centres prevented the candidates from completing the examination as scheduled.
The affected candidates were subsequently given an opportunity to take the test again on September 5.
NEET-PG 2026 qualifying cut-off
For General and EWS candidates, the qualifying requirement is the 50th percentile, with a cut-off score of 262.
For General PwBD candidates, the qualifying requirement is the 45th percentile, with a cut-off score of 244.
For SC, ST and OBC candidates, including PwBD candidates from these categories, the qualifying requirement is the 40th percentile, with a cut-off score of 226.
Scorecards, answer key to be released in October
Candidates will be able to download their individual NEET-PG 2026 scorecards from the NBEMS website on or after October 1, 2026. The scorecards will remain available for six months from the date of issuance.
The answer key will also be published on or after October 1. Candidates will be able to view details including Question ID numbers, correct answer key IDs, response IDs and the scores awarded for individual questions through their applicant login.
NBEMS said all questions in both question papers were reviewed by faculty members from the relevant specialties after the examination. The board said none of the questions was found to be technically incorrect.
The final and category-wise merit lists for State Quota seats will be prepared by the respective states and Union Territories according to applicable eligibility and reservation rules.
