Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) on Wednesday reported a 16 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 747 crore for the September quarter of FY27, supported by strong growth in its power supply business and expansion of renewable energy capacity.
The Adani Group company had posted a net profit of Rs 644 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
In a regulatory filing, AGEL said its total income increased 39 per cent to Rs 4,520 crore during July-September, compared with Rs 3,249 crore in the year-ago period.

The company attributed its revenue and operating earnings growth to sustained capacity expansion, deployment of advanced renewable energy technologies and improved operational performance across its projects.
"The growth in revenue and Ebitda is driven by consistent capacity expansion, deployment of advanced RE technologies and strong operating performance across all our sites," AGEL said.
Energy sales increased 32 per cent year-on-year to 25,747 million units during the first half of FY27, supported by the addition of 4,083 MW of renewable energy capacity.
The company's operational renewable energy portfolio expanded 24 per cent year-on-year to 20.8 GW, according to its latest statement.

AGEL said it commissioned 3,081 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity at Khavda in Gujarat during the September quarter, taking its total operational storage capacity to 6,632 MWh, or approximately 6.63 GWh.
The company claimed that the installation represented more than 50 per cent of India's operational battery storage capacity and was the world's largest single-location BESS deployment.
With the expansion, AGEL said it was on course to exceed its FY27 battery storage capacity guidance of 10 GWh.
Ashish Khanna, CEO of Adani Green Energy, said the company's performance reflected its commitment to expanding India's renewable energy infrastructure.
"As India's largest renewable energy company, we take pride in driving the sector's momentum. This is reflected in our strong execution in H1 FY27, with our operational renewable energy portfolio growing 24 per cent year-on-year to 20.8 GW and energy sales increasing 32 per cent," Khanna said.
He added that the Khavda battery storage project had made AGEL India's largest BESS operator, accounting for more than half of the country's operational capacity.
